New DC Facility Opening July 2008

In order to best position ourselves to support our continued store growth and regional differences, Stage Stores Inc will be adding a 3rd Distribution Center in Jeffersonville, Ohio. This addition will require a realignment of our current Distribution Center processing. The projected opening date of the new facility is July 2008.
This realignment will help us maximize throughput and capacity while better aligning the Distribution Centers with the geographic regions they support.
The last day to receive merchandise at the designated DC under the old alignment will be Friday 6/20/2008. Any merchandise shipped to arrive after this date should go to the DC associated with the new alignment.
A detailed list of store locations and their new Distribution Center alignment, along with any other important updates or information will be communicated thoroughly in future communication.
Message to Our Trading Partners
Enclosed is our updated Vendor Compliance Manual release number 0208. You will notice that it has been redesigned to provide you with an accurate, one-stop reference to Stage Stores (SSI) logistical strategy.
We encourage you to read the entire document since it has been redesigned. However, for your convenience we have included a reference page that highlights the major changes from our previous release edition number 0806.
As you know, supply-chain efficiencies are more critical than ever in satisfying customer needs and remaining competitive. Smooth operations between the Vendor community and SSI are absolutely critical for our mutual success. To this end, buyers do not have the authority to approve exceptions to any of the policies established in these guidelines. Any exceptions to policies contained in this guideline must be approved by the Logistics Department in writing prior to shipping.
We ask that you distribute copies of this document to all departments that are impacted by these specific requirements. The Vendor Compliance manual is also available to view or download online at http://www.stagestoresinc.com/vendorguidelines/message.htm.
These revised instructions are effective February 1, 2008 and supersede all previously issued instructions.
